Financial and Managerial Capacity

Capacity API’s Finance Department is managed using its financial and Procurement Manual which adhere to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This is the guiding document in all financial transactions. In line with this, except for Petty cash payment, all payments are done by cheques after normal procedures for requests, recommendations, approval and Payment vouchers have been completed. API uses agreements, technical assistance contracts, service contracts and purchase orders to acquire goods and services. Each contract and agreement is subject to procurement regulations. It is our policy to procure only those items that are required to perform the objectives of the organization. Bank reconciliation is done monthly and financial reports for internal reflection is done quarterly. Annual Financial statements are prepared each year and audited by independent Auditor.
